The beginning of a life long yearning to travel

My trip to Dover...
This lovely harbour village really touched my heart and for the first time I could see myself settling down in a place other than Cape Town. Knowing me though I'd probably feel this way about many other places I visit in the future, but boy what a starting point. Never wanting to visit the UK due to the cold weather, I found myself finally becoming friendlier with overcast days and drizzles. Waking up in what I know refer to as 'My room' with those big windows opening an unforgettable view of the harbour, I finally felt at peace. Something I struggle to find, being someone who's always looking for more.
In this room I thought some of my deepest thoughts and felt some of my strongest feelings.
My spot on the windowsill on the third floor of my aunts 'old barracks' home was where I spent many hours reminiscing, writing, singing along to my favourite music and planning my future.
Situated atop the famous White Cliffs was Dover Castle. A place filled with so much history I could feel its tingling inside my entire body. I went back there three days in a row just to be able to take it all in. This is truly a place not to be missed if ever you are that area and a lover of the old and mysterious.
Then there's Paris...
Here I will post some of my favourite photos from my UK holiday. I hope you like it!
